Gammu 1.09.16 is out. The only one change is in ChangeLog - it informs, that currently releases will be done Michal. I hope, that this is good decision and project will grow faster. I will try to look into it from time to time and inform Michal, when something is wrong (or send him patches). We will see in the future, if decision was good not...

• Gammu 1.07.15 has been released today - it contains various fixes, improvements for new models, filesystem, etc. I also spent a lot of time on Symbian.

Next test release - this week/weekend. What will be next in this project, depends mainly on Michal Cihar.

I'm working on real MMS decoder (this moved from Gammu is not too good). Can anyone send me as many example MMS as possible ? (I know, I know, that there are some softwares for creating, but this is not the same...) It will be treat confidential and not published.

I have started MMS viewer too (GUI already can work without phone).

I was asking myself - what is future of "my" projects ? Does anyone need them ?

How did it end ?

I was playing today with Turbo C++ from Borland. After about 1 and half hour I had compiled Gammu+ with primitive GUI able to get root folders from phone filesystem. If everything will go fine, I will be able to publish it somewhere in next week (with all main filesystem issues like navigating, uploading/download, etc.).

• gammu.org account was disabled for about 3-4 hours during 26 October (I will try to investigate it with provider), page was unavailable in majority of 30-31 October too (this time server was exchanged after cpu+mainboard dead). Everything is restored from backups - if you will see any problems or missed things, please let me know ASAP.

  • I would like to announce with pleasure, that I have started rewriting and completing Series 40 3.0 SMS reading. Many things are still magic, but you have at least much more info now...
  • GCC 4 is hacked for now (no warnings)
  • updated translations and license
  • added some bugfixes
  • included improved Mozilla support. It will be reviewed by me now and all fixes to it will be in next test release...

Dzisiaj kilka słów o tym jak przenieść sobie katalogi tymczasowe do pamięci RAM - przy dużej jej wielkości i używaniu dysków SSD może to mieć pewien sens.

Last week wasn't the best for me (when we speak about coding). First - it was horrible hot in Poland, second - I had many tasks, which had to be done first (some repairs, exchanges, making some things, etc.). Happily I have passed everything.

But now it looks, that I have (and will have) things much more stable. I updated gammu.org to MediaWiki 1.7.1, my eyes like much more new screen settings, etc. etc. I decided, that:

Today there are 304 externally visible bugs (after 13 May 2019 three P0!), in code there are included 199 patches (1565 files changed, 18161 lines inserted, 19486 lines deleted) with such changes like:

Listopad i grudzień to okres wyprzedawania wszystkich bubli z magazynów, jak również czas wymiany mocnych konfiguracji przez bardziej świadomych użytkowników. Miałem ostatnio przyjemność współuczestniczyć w budowie jednej takiej maszyny, stąd trochę komentarzy i wniosków z notatek.

Pojawił się stabilny PHP 7.4 i ponieważ to jest blog, to zdecydowałem się zwerbalizować swoje notatki i krótko opisać procedurę instalacji Apache, PHP i PostgreSQL, którą używam w jednej z moich instalacji Windows do przygotowania środowiska do zabaw z PHP.

Celowo sięgnę tutaj do źródeł (tzn. łączenia każdego z trzech komponentów) zamiast bawić się w jeden z gotowych pakietów.
